The Pros and Cons of Drop ShippingMost of the internet retailers in today’s world find drop shipping an integral part of their life. This is the means by which their products reach the customers and the way they go about carrying on their business. You need to have proper knowledge about the good as well as the adverse effects of drop shipping on the internet retailing industry. The negative thing about drop shipping is the procedure of conducting drop shipping itself. You do not have immediate control and access over the product that you are shipping to the customers. You are dependent on the control system and operational procedures of someone else to ensure that your products reach the customers in time. Another disadvantage is that you only learn about the mistake that have occurred after the customers have received the goods. If you would have been the one who was shipping the product and if you had direct control, you would have been able to recognize the mistakes and correct them before they were shipped out, and hence avoided all this. However, if you think that your services are fine and in some way you do have some control over the disadvantages and can avoid these mistakes and there is no stopping you. The upside of this business is good. For once, you don’t have the headache of taking of the costs and products in the warehouse, coz you don’t need a warehouse. What could also work to your advantage is if you have a good shipper. A good shipper will facilitate blind shipping wherein he will ensure that when the products reach the customer, the will have the logo and other paperwork on the products so that the customers think that you have branches all over the place and that you have shipped the products to them. A good shipping company will make your company look much better facilitated and famous than it actually is.
